I Am Inconsistent at Throwing Discus. How Do I Fix It?

96, as a stand, is not bad. Me, I throw 119 standing. Alot of my throwing power come from the hips. It may sound and look weird, but overexagerate using the hips because it will eventually become second nature. Now, when releasing, practice"the bar of soap drill" which mean you hold it in your hand, and squeez. It focus on getting a clean release on the throw. and the "bowling" drill which is the same thing but sqeezing it out infront of you to get it to roll smoothly forward. Also keep your throwing arm relaxed and streched out, your blocking arm 180 degrees(the other side of your body) because it helps propel the discus as a counter balance. Hope this helps
