Bacteria are so small that you can only see them with a microscope.y can u see them growin on agar?

when you look in a microscope you are usually looking at a small group of bacteria within a cluster or colony. On agar you are able to see whole colonies because they are bunched up together, dividing very efficiently because of all the opitmal conditions. So its not like you are seeing 1 or a few individual bacteria, but instead you are looking at thousands to hundreads of thousands of cells within a small colony.
