My 3 year old has asthma although he is only affected for a couple months of the year....I'm uming his?

triggers are mold because it's in the fall. An urgent care doctor told me his tonsils need to come out, his pediatrician said that was nonsense. I feel like he should probably just see an ear nose/throat doctor and an allergist. I see no reason for him to be on albuterol year round when he only has attacks in the fall. Would allergy medicine be applied that way also (seasonally, I mean)?
