Why is alimony given out ? Is fair ? I dont think so. What do you think?

If a couple gets married and another partner has more money then they divorces. Why should the breadwinner have to pay there EX money a dime ? This is why my future wife wont give up her career to raise the kids and be a housewife. See Im figuring out how MOST of yall ladies do it. Yall go to school get a degree as a backup plan but really wana stay home and raise ya kids thats why MOST women are STILL looking for providers( when they can provide themselves). Then they get married and if the marriage doesnt work or/and you have a kid, you know you got money coming your way( helping to support the baby and YOU). I say whether your lower earning man or women you shouldnt get a dime but if you have a kid you can get child support. I mean the guy/women have to pay for alimony, child support, give up houses, cars, chances to see his kid on the regular if your a man. What does lower earning ex lose out on ? And women wonder why men are hesistant about marriage. What do you think ?
