What happened with Dante and Virgil in The Inferno?

As they continued further into Hell, they eventually came to Satan, who was frozen in ice. Satan had 3 mouths and in them were: Judas, Cius and Brutus. Those three had betrayed their lords to their deaths. After this, there was a tunnel that led back to Purgatory that the two took. And that's it.
