Gibson m production vs. Taylors High pricing?

I don't think I've ever played a Gibson acoustic, but I have played Taylors, and they are probably my favorite acoustic guitars. The sound quality and playability is fantastic. You could try checking out www.carvin.com. I don't know if they have the tone you're looking for, but I've heard that they hold up extremely well and can take a lot of abuse without breaking. They're also a lot less expensive than Taylor.
